Free open-source desktop mail client for ordinary email and Italian PEC/REM. It talks IMAP, POP3, and SMTP to the mailbox you already hold at a QTSP or ordinary provider, and keeps the archive on this computer.
This app is not a qualified trust service, not a PEC operator, and not a timestamp authority. Receipts and envelopes come from the gestore; Postclient shows them.
Background sync starts at boot and syncs every saved mailbox with nobody signed in. Easy Migration writes a passphrase-locked bundle and restores it on another PC. Mark as spam is remembered across mailboxes. Gmail folder reads no longer fail when the mailbox is already open.
HTML mail no longer crashes WebView2 on Windows. Large messages with inline images load from a local file, and WebView failures fall back to text. The message list shows each item's size so heavy mail is easy to sort and delete, and the paperclip stays on mail whose files are not marked as attachments. Search results keep the message context menu after you select mail.
Selected mail keeps its preview while the folder list refreshes. Delete and move use the row's folder, and opening a message is not stuck behind a catalog scan.
Folder unread and retention days stay in separate columns. A new install keeps Gmail and Outlook sign-in. Gmail Trash retention shows on the nested folder and permanently deletes old trash.
Keyword and meaning index status shows one done / total across all mailboxes, not the current folder or a single account.
Status bar indexing and meaning-index lines stay visible between batches instead of flashing.
First sync paints mail as it arrives. Meaning search DirectML prefers a discrete GPU. Trash retention, logs, and folder menus match typical desktop mail apps.
Retention moves expired folder mail to Trash. Trash can be kept forever or purged after a number of days. Delete sends messages to Trash.
The main window opens on launch from the Windows setup. Closing the window exits the app.
Folder stores replace attached Outlook data files. Gmail and Microsoft sign-in go through Identity Hub. Per-folder retention, multi-select, and IMAP/OAuth reliability fixes.
On-device meaning search, Outlook data files as mailboxes, rules, extra UI languages, and country packs.
