# Gitea Actions
|
|
|
|
Gitea Actions is compatible with GitHub Actions YAML but runs on **your Gitea instance**.
|
|
|
|
## Tools
|
|
|
|
`gitea_actions`:
|
|
|
|
- Variables: `repo_variables`, `org_variables`
|
|
- Runs (Gitea 1.23+): `list_runs`, `get_run`, `rerun`, `list_tasks`, `dispatch`
|
|
- Secrets and runner tokens (`repo_secrets`, `set_repo_secret`, `runner_token_*`) only if `GITEA_ENABLE_SECRETS=true`
|
|
|
|
If a run endpoint 404s, the instance is older than the Actions runs API. Say so and fall back to listing workflows in the repo (`.gitea/workflows` or `.github/workflows`) via `gitea_contents`.
|
|
|
|
Never print secret values. Do not fetch runner registration tokens unless the user explicitly needs to register a runner and secrets mode is enabled.
|
